HI All! Been a long time since a blog update but we have been super busy behind the scenes working on one-of-a-kind wearable art garments. These pieces are meant for the runway or the daring dresser to showcase how unconventional materials can be transformed. Whether they ever get uploaded remains to be seen. Time flies!!

Oh my bad....just now realized how long it has been size I had time to post anew blog. Soooo much happening that taking the time to write has been on the bottom of the to-do list. Hopefully that can be rectified. For a daily (I try ....) post, visit the Hoard Couture Original Denim page on Facebook.  2 days ago I walked the runway for the first time in maybe 30 years?? Did some modeling in the late 1970's and loved it. Today's models have much more forgiving figures than we were ever allowed to have. Maybe I should try...

We have so much "stuff" in our material and consumer oriented society that it only makes sense to take what exists and give it new life.  This ball gown skirt is made from 3 dozen striped neckties that have been opened, ironed and hand stitched to a muslin base. Yes it is a bit heavy but the spin and twirl factor is incredible. The waistband is adjustable, it has a zipper in the back and pockets set into the side seams for comfort.
